This isn't the greatest picture, but was
included for a specific reason. This is the first car I ever pulled a trigger on . I say
this, because I didn't paint the whole car alone. It was totally stripped, and after alot
of fine tuning, Me, and a classmate painted it with our instructor watching closely. It
was a single stage enamel, and considering who was painting it, it turned out very nice. I
was 17, and couldn't have hand picked a better car to be broken in on.
Here is the rear view of the`vette. It was
a really bright yellow...the pics don't do it justice.
This car was given to me by a friends mom.
She had bought the car new and put 202,000 miles on it. During the winter, she got hit
good in the passenger door. She thought it was hopeless, and therefore refused any money
from me.($50 just showed up in her new car one day, though!!)
Anyway I put on a new rocker panel, Door, fender, and did some quarter panel work, along
with fixing 11 years worth of hail and door dings. I repainted the whole car, had some
cool gold Honda si stickers made up for it, and sold it . Not a sensational profit / loss
margin, but this car is still on the road today as it should be.
I forgot the year already...I will get it
soon. I did this bronco for a friend at Patrick Racing. It was orange with white dash,
black hood, and blue roof. We re-did it, inside and out, at the same time! Spray door,
open door, spray jamb, close door..! We re-did the interior part and roof in bright white,
and for the short time we had, it turned out beautiful.
It has since had new chrome all around, and more undercarriage modifications than I can
list.
1961 Mercury Comet S-22
!961 Mercury Comet done for a friend in my local car club. the owner, Andy McLaughlin, pulled the car from a field, and among many other things, stripped the whole car bare on his own. There was plenty of work to be done still, but it was nice to have someone else do the paint stripping for a change! What began as a 'quickie' to be sprayed all white, eventually became this beautiful car.
1992 Mustang GT
This was a friends' car, and we were planning to paint it. He then sold it to buy a crotch rocket bike, and the guy he sold it to was going to get it Maaco-painted. I offered to paint it for the cost of paying off my motorcycle (in bike section), and so it was done. This picture doesn't show the rear spoiler, as it was drying and hadn't been bolted on yet. The taillight lenses were also scuffed and clear-coated over. For a car that was about 6 colors upon arrival, it came out pretty sharp.
My 1983 VW scirocco
A virtual Scuff-n-Shoot. No big deal, daily driver quality. but it made this 20 year old VW look sharp! I bought this car for less than a grand, and sold it for less even with the paint job less than a year later! But it was neat looking when it was cleaned up. Looked like a miniature DeLorean!
Mustang
I don't recall the exact year of this car, but its a typical 'Fox Body' Mustang LS. Overall , A simple looking car, but it got a total strip and re-paint in House of Kolors' Galaxy Gray. Really pretty car when done. Owner was putting a TON into this car, all sorts of fiber optics inside, and turbo 4 cylinder from something else being grafted in. Engine bay was shaved of all factory holes, and sprayed with Zolotone. Would have a competition quality stereo system, full race suspension, I mean REALLY done well with ALOT of money. Wherever it is now, It is probably one hell of a sleeper. Really looked good. It was done during my time at Indy Custom Shops, outlined in the Custom section.
